Sale of PBT Courier Business to NZ Post

We are pleased to advise that Commerce Commission approval has been given for PBT to sell its courier business to NZ Post, with a Completion Date of 4th June 2024.

If you are an existing PBT Courier customer:

  • You will have received a letter from PBT advising you that from the Completion Date the terms on which you do business with the PBT Courier Business will change to be with NZ Post and not the PBT Group.

 

  • After Completion, Courier invoices will be issued in the name of NZ Post.

 

  • Regardless of the Completion Date, you should continue to use PBT systems, tools, and customer support channels, until further notice from NZ Post.

 

  • If you use PBT Pre-Paid tickets, you can continue to use these beyond the Completion Date.

 

The transaction, and the changes noted above, only relate to PBT’s courier business. If you also use PBT for non-courier services, those services are not affected.
