Update on sale of the PBT Courier business to NZ Post

Completion of the sale of PBT’s Courier business to NZ Post is now confirmed for Tuesday 4th June 2024. Customer contracts for PBT Courier services will be assigned to NZ Post from this date. NZ Post are planning to transition PBT courier pickups and deliveries to NZ Post from 10 June to 30 August 2024, and then separately transition customer accounts to NZ Post’s tools, products, and services from September 2024. PBT Courier customers will receive more information on those plans from NZ Post from 4 June 2024.

Update on sale of the PBT Courier business to NZ Post

Completion of the sale of PBT’s Courier business to NZ Post is now confirmed for Tuesday 4th June 2024. Customer contracts for PBT Courier services will be assigned to NZ Post from this date.

 

NZ Post are planning to transition PBT courier pickups and deliveries to NZ Post from 10 June to 30 August 2024, and then separately transition customer accounts to NZ Post’s tools, products, and services from September 2024. PBT Courier customers will receive more information on those plans from NZ Post from 4 June 2024. 

 

Changes to parcel pickups and deliveries will follow a phased approach as outlined in the table below. NZ Post will be in touch with affected customers two weeks before their pickup arrangements change to confirm the start date.

From the dates outlined above:

  • Pickups in these regions will transition to NZ Post. All parcels picked up will be delivered by NZ Post throughout New Zealand.  
  • Also, deliveries in these regions will be made by NZ Post regardless of where the parcel originated.  

 

Customers should continue to use current PBT ticketing solutions and PBT customer service or account manager for any queries. Customers will also continue to receive tracking information and notifications from PBT for parcels sent from 10 June 2024 until they are fully transitioned to NZ Post tools, products, and services.
